RHYTHM

· ·

This autumn our jewellery collection spotlights the art of rhythm in jewellery making processes as well as the finished pieces.

From rhythmically hammered facets and a repetition of shapes, forms and lines to dynamic patterns – the collection comprises a variety of fashionable pieces in a range of unique materials, textures and colour palettes.

Heather Woof

Inspired by pattern, rhythm and movement, Heather's designs are characterised by clean lines and sculptural forms. She has a passion for making, creating each piece with a focus on refined detail and beautiful craftsmanship.

Heather has won multiple awards for her work, including a gold award from the prestigious Goldsmiths Craftsmanship and Design Awards 2016.

"I love the simplicity of the single unit that can be built to become a richly complex structure as the piece is constructed"

Kathryn Hinton

Using traditional hand skills and digital technology, Kathryn has created a range of silverware and jewellery that explores emerging surfaces and faceted forms.

Kathryn's designs are realised in silver using 3D printing with lost wax casting and computer numerically controlled (CNC) milling with press forming. The digital surface is formed to represent hammer strikes and marks made in metal, highlighting the surface detail.

Karolina Baines

Karolina Baines works to instil a sense of movement into her work through strategically placed lines, suggesting rhythm and change of direction. She is influenced by a broad range of beautiful objects and imagery, from clothing pleats and Venetian architecture to basketry.

Karolina's work is strongly rooted in the sketchbook process, especially in the use of collaging and printmaking, with a strong emphasis on line work and mark making and a passion for deep and vibrant colours.

"I view jewellery as small sculptures that move with the wearer."

Judith Brown

Judith's contemporary Geometric collection is inspired by Art Deco shapes and colours. The pieces are made with very fine silver wire in a variety of finishes including bright silver and oxidised silver, which complements and highlights the subtle tones of the carefully selected glass beads.

"When I'm working on new designs I can spend hours searching for the perfect colour of beads to work together to bring my vision to life."

Chloe Solomon

Inspired by irregularities found in architecture and skylines, Chloe uses long geometric shapes to create a finish that is minimal and structural but with an organic quality.

Square tube is quintessential, mixed lengths are layered to create pieces that have a beautiful finish and a tactile movability. The vast majority of the pieces are completely hand fabricated with a love for the organic quality.
