Peter Hallam
Peter Hallam is one of our most popular exhibitors and his work is increasingly collectable. Working as a professional artist for more than 20 years, Peter has explored and refined his surrealist style and specialised in abstract landscapes and portraiture. His preferred subject is people; all are individuals with a character and story of their own, and they are often informed by real people he has met through his life. His new collection of original paintings showcases his distinct technique and wonderful eye for colour, which makes his work so instantly recognisable.
Peter grew up in rural Nottinghamshire with his parents and a menagerie of animals including a crow called Albert. Peter had a passion for art from a very young age and was encouraged to pursue his art and attend art college. However, Peter left art school after just two weeks and remains entirely self-taught. He currently lives and works in Northumberland.
