Dawn Hajittofi discovered a love for clay in her teens and always aspired to be a ceramicist. After a career in counselling, she studied at Havering college and UCA Farnham and was finally able to pursue her original passion and become a full-time maker in 2019. Inspired by her work in pastoral care, Hajittofi's ceramic practise focuses on the hope of change and healing, represented by her use of Kintsugi - the japanese art of mending broken vessels with gold to restore them while honouring loss, struggle, and imperfection.
