Part of the New Light Prize Exhibition 2020

Tony Carlton is an award winning artist from Calderdale. He has had a passion for art for as long as he can remember, and was always found as a child with a pencil in his hand. This passion led him to study for a Fine Art BA Hons degree at the University of Wolverhampton where he discovered his love of printmaking. He went on to complete a Masters in printmaking at Camberwell College of Art in London.

Tony went on to work for almost 20 years at the Wallace Collection museum in London surrounded by the very best paintings and objects in the world. He has since moved back up North to his birthplace of Todmorden, to concentrate on his passion for printmaking.
