Barbara Peirson

Newcastle-born Barbara Peirson returns to the gallery with a collection of landscape artworks inspired by coastal landscapes from Northumberland to her Wivenhoe home.

A trained actress and sometimes director, Barbara Pierson is first and foremost a painter at heart. Starting her days with paintbrush in hand, and interspersing her creativity with daily tasks, Barbara's passion predominantly draws her towards expressing the landscape surrounding her.

Hailing from Newcastle but now residing in Wivenhoe, Essex, Barbara's landscapes reflect these coastal landscapes along with the wildlife and people that pass through the spaces as she is observing them. Later, Barbara returns to her studio and aims to recreate the feeling and atmosphere of the vast landscapes first, allowing figures to present themselves of their own accord.
