We are here to help you give all the information you need to make your decision. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, and don’t worry - we talk to a lot of couples and we don’t expect everyone to choose The Biscuit Factory, so there’s no obligation by talking to us!

What do we need to agree on before confirming the venue?

Once you've decided we're the right venue for you, we'll need to know the following details to confirm your booking and give you a full breakdown of your package costs:

  1. Your preferred date

  2. Which space in the venue you'd like to book (Art Gallery spaces or The Garden Room)

  3. How many guests are attending. We'll start with your 'daytime' guests who will come for your ceremony and wedding breakfast. Evening guests can be confirmed at a later date, within our maximum capacities for your chosen space.

  4. Your preferred package with any changes/additions you'd like making

We want to go ahead but need to confirm other details - can you hold our date?

Of course! We know booking a venue is a big decision therefore we will happily hold your date for 7 - 14 days* with no obligation.
*dependent on your preferred date

Venue Information

Are you a licensed as a wedding venue?

Yes, we are licensed for civil partnership ceremonies and marriages to take place at our venue! You do need to arrange your registrar with Newcastle City Council directly though.

Will the Gallery be open to the public whilst we get married?

The Biscuit Factory is a commercial art gallery and is open to the public until 5pm everyday. The Gallery Ceremony area is roped off from the public and our experience is that visitors are respectful of the celebration - while some may spectate at a distance most people prefer not to use the upper level of the gallery during the ceremony.

You can request closure of the upper Gallery for your ceremony - rates for this depend on your date and duration of closure so please ask your planner about this option!

We are planning a large wedding, what’s the maximum number of guests you can accommodate?

Our spaces host from 50 to 300 guests with the following minumum & maximums:

  1. The Garden Room: Ceremony / Dining Minimum 70 | Maximum 120 | Maximum Evening 180
  2. The Gallery (Wedding Ceremony): Minimum 50 | Dining N/A
  3. Artisan: Dining Minimum 50 | Maximum 70 | Bar & Dancing Maximum 100*
  4. The Biscuit Room: Dining Minimum 100 | Maximum 300* | Bar & Dancing Maximum 300*

*these figures will involve removing some seating to allow for a dance floor area - please speak to our planners for specific guidance for your celebration.

If you have fewer guests than the minimum requirement our spaces are still available to you, but a minimum booking value will apply.

Can we have animals at our wedding?

Whilst we are animal lovers and we recognise how important pets are, we're a human-only event space (except for assistance dogs).

Do you allow confetti at The Biscuit Factory?

We will happily allow confetti outside the venue however confetti inside is not permitted. We strongly encourage bio-degradable / eco-friendly confetti such as this from The Confetti Cone Company

Payments & Packages

The deposit will be £1,000 and will be required to confirm your booking.

By request as and when it's needed during your planning.
