Eddie Potts

Part of the New Light Prize Exhibition 2020

Eddie Potts was born in the Eden Valley in Cumbria, where he lives to this day. He is self-taught and paints primarily in acrylics, and, although he has Lakes on his doorstep, is more inclined to seek out objects which have taken on a patina and texture through age and or neglect - such as old tools and abandoned overgrown vehicles, doors and windows with broken panes and peeling paint, and crumbling moss-covered stonework.

Eddie exhibits frequently throughout the Eden Valley and Cumbria. He has also exhibited and sold work as far afield as The Torrance Gallery in Edinburgh and the Royal Horticultural Halls in London.
