Craft your own beautiful foraging basket from locally grown willow. Just in time for collecting early berries and salad leaves.
You will start by making a sturdy hoop frame, then adding ribs. The weaving is an immersive process, connecting your hands with memories of the past.
You will weave with a stunning blue, grey coloured variety called Dicky Meadows, hand cut in Northumberland.
On this one day weaving course you will learn about the dark art of soaking willow, storage, traditional weaving techniques, preparation for a project and much more.
