In this workshop you will discover the beauty of soft pastel to create a Spring landscape.Through tuition and demonstrations you will be guided through the process.
You will learn about the pastels, the marks they make, ways to layer and how to create texture and atmosphere.
Beginning with composition, underpainting, tonal values and the ways in which you can use colour to create mood and perspective.
All materials are provided, please feel free to bring along anything that you may feel you need such as an apron
Inspired by the landscape of the North East, the changing seasons and time of day, Christine uses colour and light to transform the everyday view into something beautiful. Fascinated with the way in which colours sit together, pushing forward and pulling back, altering atmosphere, understanding and the way in which we view the world, Christine creates transformative images of the North East coast and landscapes in pastel and paint.
