Poppies are a beautiful, summer bloom, coming in an array of beautiful colours from bright yellows to pinks and deep crimsons.
Paper poppies are surprisingly easy to create. Paper artist, Fiona McKeown, founder of Folly + Bird Flowers, will guide you through the artform, using the highest quality Italian crepe paper and her unique templates. You can choose from a range of heady colours, from stunning yellows to vibrant oranges, crimsons or pale pastels.
Participants will create a full poppy and stem, under the expert guidance of the artist.
Participants will learn key techniques of paper sculpture, including cupping, winding and grooming paper, inking and tinting, cutting and using templates. This workshop is suitable for beginners and all materials are provided.
