In this workshop you will experiment with monotype/monoprint techniques, working with common household paint to create bold, colourful monotype prints on paper using printing plates and various mark making tools. You will also try mono-printing using water based printing inks.
If you like, you can bring your own still-life references, such as photographs or physical objects, however Dan will supply materials for you to work from too.
All materials will be provided, however if you have old paint tins/paint samples these could be useful (you’ll need to take any leftovers away with you again)
All abilities welcome, you don’t have to have any artistic experience!
This workshop is suitable for ages 14+ however under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Dan Cimmermann is a painter based in Yorkshire.
You’ll see his work here at The Biscuit Factory, but he has twice exhibited in the BP Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery, London, and had solo shows in London, Sheffield, York, and Leeds. Dan has also exhibited in group exhibitions internationally including USA, Japan and Lebanon.
Aside from his works on canvas, Dan is a well known muralist, and has completed pieces in cities across the globe such as Tokyo, New York, Beirut, Copenhagen and London.
