Learn to create your own mixed media stitched collage, exploring mark-making on paper and fabric, followed by layering ideas together, and adding hand stitch and embellishment details to create your final collage artwork.
The workshop will begin with some messy play, creating some patterned papers and fabrics to form the background for our collage design. After these artworks have dried, we will be cutting into them, layering together and adding hand stitch to create our collage design.
Jessica will share her tips and tricks for putting mixed patterns and materials together, layering shapes, and decorative stitches to add extra pattern and detail to your design. Finally Jessica will show how you can cut your finished collage into a shape of your choice on her die-cutter machine, and then mount it onto white card to finish.
