Poems have long been used to mark treasured life rituals; such as the changing of seasons. In Japanese culture, the famed haiku began; a form of short poetry that uses a specific pattern of syllables, used to evoke a seasonal atmosphere. In this workshop Leila will guide you to create Haiku poetry inspired by the Festive season and celebrate winter’s journey. It will be the perfect size to put in your Christmas cards to make them extra special this year!
You do not need any experience writing poetry, or any other writing.
We suggest that you bring your own notepad or paper so that you can continue practicing your poetry after the class.
