The Autumn Preview is a celebration of the turning season, with new collections of art, sculpture, and jewellery for you to enjoy.
This season we invite you to consider the process and techniques that with time, patience, and skill culminate in the objects before you. Perhaps over a glass of carefully selected wine, or a sip of a whisky cocktail (supplied by Northumberland craft distillery Ad Gefrin).
Headline artist Shirley Vauvelle presents a mixed showcase of ceramics and paintings that share a language of process and place, a deep connection to nature and an appreciation for surface design.
Lino North highlights the continuing strength and diversity of contemporary printmaking in the North of England, Scotland, and Wales with a focus on the physical processes of carving, inking and printing. 16 printmakers present their work as part of this showcase, and we’re delighted to have Printmaker and Co-Founder of Lino North, Laura Boswell here to say a few words about the exhibition.
Elsewhere in the gallery you can browse and buy pieces for your home, or maybe make an early start gathering gifts for Winter celebrations… There will be work from over 200 artists and makers including both new and familiar names.
Our evening will be soundtracked by a vinyl mix of soul & jazz by Deja Brew, and Ad Gefrin will be serving cocktail tasters using their Northumberland Whisky and Gin (which you can also purchase on the night).
