This original print was commissioned to commemorate our 15th anniversary and handprinted at Northern Print. 

Since opening in November 2002 we have been champions of original art and handmade craft. We've had the honour of working with thousands of artists, agencies and organisations and have been proud to be part of the ever growing art scene in the North East. 

This quote, taken from the words of Ad Reinhardt, an Abstract Expressionist painter, writer and lecturer, was chosen because it both makes a statement and provokes at reaction. What is art? What is its significance to us personally or indeed its relevance to anything else? We humbly hope that The Biscuit Factory has contributed in some way to this cultural dialogue over the past 15 years.
