Teapot Making Workshop
Saturday 9 February
Time: 1.30pm - 4pm
Location: The Biscuit Factory Gallery
Hosted by: Muddy Fingers Pottery
Join Muddy Fingers Pottery for a teapot making session. All materials, firings and equipment are provided for you to create a handmade teapot and we have lots of wood and clay stampers to provide the inspiration for this creative and inspiring session.
With two expert tutors on hand to advise and inspire, you will make a teapot of your own design. Over the course of the workshop you will learn how to decorate your teapot and attach spouts, handle and a lid, all to your own taste. The teapot will then be taken back to Muddy Fingers HQ to be fired and glazed in a colour of your choice. The teapots will be dropped back off at The Biscuit Factory for collection around 3-4 weeks later.
Muddy Fingers Pottery
Muddy Fingers Pottery make specialist or bespoke cookware, tableware, kitchen and homeware as well as producing a range of jewellery and giftware. Alongside designing and making new products, Marv and Diane develop and produce their own glazes for their bespoke stoneware pottery.
The trend for handmade plates and pots has seen their pottery going into places such as the 02 Arena, Tom Kerridge's restaurant, Jason Atherton's restaurants and even Burberry!
But they don't just make pots - they also run adult night classes, workshops and Raku sessions, build bread ovens, design and make tipi fire pits, create sculptures, murals, and do pit firing!
A discount voucher for use in The Factory Kitchen café will be provided for all workshop participants. Workshop participants are also welcome to bring their own packed lunch.
All participants will receive an emailed booking confirmation and a reminder email close to the event.
