Punch Needle Workshop // Saturday 28 March
Time: 10.30am - 1pm
Location: The Biscuit Factory Gallery
Hosted by: The Crafthood
We are thrilled to introduce the latest in our feel good craft workshops - the joyous skill of punch needle. This craft is tactile, satisfying, mindful and uber versatile. Once you have gained confidence with this new skill, it has many possible applications from wall hangings and cushions to clutch bags.
To support you in learning the skill and enjoying the process, we will provide you with a welcoming and positive environment. We are experienced facilitators and will introduce you to the materials needed before guiding you through the basic principles and techniques of punch needle work to create different effects. There will be lots of time to commence progress your practice, whilst we are on hand for demos and to share trouble shooting & top tips.
No previous experience is required. We will come with a full range of design ideas and love to encourage experimentation so no need to feel bound. You will be amazed at the progress that you can make during the workshop, which can be developed further at home as you get to take the tools needed to continue your practise at home.
The workshop includes all the materials needed to complete this modern hoop wall hanging, full colour instruction sheet and a drink and sweet treat. We only work with 100% wool fibre and you'll get to choose 3 fab colours from a selection of 6 key colour trends for the season. You can go warm, cool or go maverick with a mash up from the collections.
