Little Biscuits Creative Workshops - Halloween printing and Batik
With sessions led by professional art teachers and practising artists, Little Biscuits gives your youngsters, aged 7-13 the chance to take part in their very own artist-led workshop.
Dates: Wednesday 26 October
Times: 1pm - 4pm
Location: The Biscuit Factory, Newcastle
Hosted by: Sally Lingard
Using the Day of the Dead as a Halloween theme, create two decorative patterned skulls on both paper and cotton.
Relief printing is a safe method for children. Batik is a textile technique from Indonesia drawing with hot wax. The cotton will then be painted using dyes and inks.
All children’s artwork can be framed afterwards for family gifts or for their rooms.
About the artist: Sally has been teaching Art and Textiles for over ten years in both middle and secondary schools. The workshops are in the holidays and provide fun creative activities that children may not have experienced at school before.
Children can bring a drink and a snack and there will also be water available.
Each teacher has DBS clearing and is currently working within schools in the region - so you can leave your child to enjoy their workshop, take an opportunity to visit the gallery and enjoy 10% off in The Factory Kitchen cafe (please request your voucher on arrival to the workshop).
All participants will receive an emailed booking confirmation and a reminder email closer to the event.
Payment is required upon booking. Cancellations made up to 2 weeks prior to the workshop date are eligible for a full refund. All materials will be provided.
