Linocut Christmas Cards & Wrapping Paper Workshop
Sunday 10 December
2pm - 4pm
Suitable for all ages, children must be accompanied by an adult
Join us in the gallery for a thoroughly festive printing session with Huddersfield based printmaker Kim Searle. We'll be working with a variety of different types of lino block to create bold graphic prints for personalised Christmas cards, tags and wrapping paper.
You'll learn how to cut the lino safely and professionally, how to use a variety of blades to their best effect, how to ink up your lino with a variety of colours and how to make a perfect print. Lino printing is a fun and easy to grasp relief printing technique, with origins in the early 1900's where it emerged as a softer alternative to woodcuts, it has long been a staple of print making traditions.
Tickets non refundable and non transferable.
Please obtain emailed order confirmation as your receipt.
Hot drinks will be provided during this workshop.
