Carol Saunderson grew up in East Anglia in a farming family, where she developed a lasting connection to the natural world that continues to shape her work. Her paintings are not direct representations of a scene but semi-abstract responses to place and memory. Through them she captures the atmosphere and feeling of a particular moment in the landscape.
