Fiona Sturrock was born and raised in Fife, Scotland. She trained as a Clinical Psychologist, earning her Doctorate from Edinburgh University in 2006, but has always maintained a creative practice. Her work is inspired by historical Colourists and Impressionists, focusing on the use of colour, light, shade and texture to create bold, expressive representations of her subjects.
