Shirley Vauvelle is a British artist working across ceramics and painting, with a practice shaped by her background in textile and surface design. Based in East Yorkshire, she creates hand-built ceramic works inspired by nature, found objects, texture, and colour.
Her playful sculptures explore the relationship between form, materials, and storytelling, drawing on influences from botanical studies, museum collections, and global craft traditions. Shirley’s work reflects a lifelong passion for making, from early creative experiments to her current practice as an exhibiting artist.
