Join artist Mick Smith for a 6 week course that develops observational skills through still life studies and industrial machines and objects. This is a flexible class meaning you can focus on a particular theme of your interest

Suitable for all levels, we will learn basic and more advanced drawing techniques but also have some fun and break the rules allowing personal styles to shine. The result can be as traditional or as contemporary as you choose.

Over these six sessions you will be using pencil, charcoal and pastel or bring your own preferred medium to create still life drawings to take home.

The class is aimed at all abilities

Mick Smith


Mick is a North-East based artist based in the Biscuit Tin Studios. He has over 20 years experience of delivering art workshops across a variety of disciplines for all ages and levels. Mick specialises in landscapes (often influenced by 17th century Dutch Artists) and still life. He has recently been involved in ‘The Cabinet of Souls’ project where he produced large paintings to celebrate the industrial heritage of the North. All participants will receive an emailed booking confirmation and a reminder email close to the event - please check junk folders.

Payment is required upon booking. Cancellations made up to 2 weeks prior to the workshop date are eligible for a full refund. 

Within two weeks of the workshop date places can be transferred into another name nominated by the attendee, or transferred to a future date. 

Participants are encouraged to arrive around 10-15 minutes ahead of their workshop.

There is parking on site and we have 2 free overflow car parks on Bermondsey Street and opposite at The Holy Biscuit.
