Bristol based Sue Gregor has been making acrylic contemporary jewellery with botanic designs since 2005. Each piece is individually handmade using real flowers and leaves to create her designs.
The plants and weeds that grow in front gardens and wastelands, in hedges and along paths are a rich source of material for Sue. She dries and presses leaves and flowers and then uses them to create her designs using a process she developed called ‘fossilised'. Sue links the natural world with the man-made by marrying acrylic with the plants, to produce beautiful and individual acrylic jewellery. Thanks to the fine detail which is captured on the embossed surface of the acrylic, every vein of the leaf show. Her work is a celebration of the organic and the industrial.
Sue's pieces are made from 100% recycled and recyclable materials which are also free from volatile organic compounds and hydrofluorocarbon.
