Pamela Tait

Pamela Tait

Pamela Tait is a visual artist based on The Black Isle in the north of Scotland. Born in 1974 and raised in rural Aberdeen-shire, she received her BA (hons) in Fine Art from Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen.

The source of Pamela's inspiration usually comes from the trees and forests in her local environment, however lockdown saw her find new inspiration in words and lyrics through two collaborative projects with poet Douglas Thompson and musicians Belle and Sebastian.

The outcome, however is still a rich gathering of sweetness and darkness; a mass of beings who evoke a sense of her imagined folklore and appear to comfort, encourage and reassure during difficult times.

Pamela is exhibiting alongside husband Erlend Tait this Spring in their joint show 'Hidden Harmonies'
