Mandy Payne

Mandy Payne is a painter/printmaker based in Sheffield. Selected exhibitions include: The Castlegate Prize (2020); Lynn Painter - Stainers Prize (2019); ’Made in Britain’ at the National Museum in Gdansk (2019); Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (2014 -2019); John Moores Painting Prize (2016, 2014 Prize Winner); Contemporary British Painting Prize 2016; New Light Art Prize 2015 (recipient of the Valeria Sykes Award) and invited artist 2017; and the Threadneedle Prize 2013. Solo exhibitions include: Tarpey Gallery, Castle Donnington (2014); Cupola Gallery, Sheffield (2016); Lakeside Arts Centre, Nottingham (2018); and Huddersfield Art Gallery (2019).
In 2015, she completed a two-year Fellowship in stone lithography at Leicester Print Workshop under the tutelage of master lithographer Serena Smith, for which she received Arts Council of England funding and an Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Award. Her work is held in public and private collections in the UK and abroad.
