Lindsey Moran

Part of the New Light Prize Exhibition 2020

Lindsey gained a BEd Hons. in Art and Education at University College Chester where she specialised in Printmaking and received the Academic Award for Art. She was invited to stay on as a Research Fellow to investigate ‘The Role of the Computer in Fine Art Printmaking’. She also gained a master’s degree from Liverpool University.

Lindsey has a keen interest in the relationship between printmaking and photography; inspired by the endless variations and possibilities afforded as light changes during both the day and the year. Her work explores the impact of light in both architectural and organic contexts, whilst being created by a process that is itself dependent on light exposure.

Lindsey has exhibited in the UK and internationally, recent highlights include: the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition; National Print Open; Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair; Ty Pawb Print International. She currently works from a studio in Liverpool - her home city.
