Originally studying printed and woven textiles in Manchester, Jessica Briggs brought a love of woven texture and surfaces to metal work. Whilst studying her MA in Sheffield, she learned the ancient Korean technique of Keum Boo. This allowed her to combine layers of gold to contrast her impressed and patterned surfaces. This added a luxurious edge to her contemporary silver jewellery.

There is an inherent simplicity of both form and function in Jessica's work. All designs, whatever the inspiration are translated into elegant pieces with subtle textures or more complex and layered finishes.
