Cécile Gilbert is a French jewellery designer-maker living and working in Brighton, UK. Each of her pieces are one-of a-kind, slightly differing in pattern. Her main medium is polyester resin, which she combines with oxidised Sterling silver.
Cécile’s inspiration comes from 1930s Bakelite jewellery, the Art Deco movement and Midcentury design. She has created a range of contemporary jewellery that reflects those qualities, whilst adding a 21st century sophistication. Through the years, Cécile has developed her own resin cutout and recasting techniques, which enable her to produce geometric patterns and eye-catching shapes and designs.
She also mixes her own pigments in order to build an exclusive colour palette of beautiful Lime green, Tangerine and Teal alongside Jet Black and Ivory White. Designed in a minimalist style, pieces are lightweight and can be worn as everyday sophisticated pieces adding to a stylish outfit.
