Alan Stones
Alan Stones studied Fine Art at St Martin`s School of Art, London 1967 - 71. He began making lithographs after winning an award in 1985 for the Gulbenkian Foundation to experiment in printmaking.
A decade later, after a three month residency in the vast open space of the Falkland Islands, Alan's prints became much more minimal. Since then he has published a great many editions from his printmaking studio in the Eden Valley in the heart of Cumbria, and has exhibited widely, both throughout Britain and Europe.
