Born in South Wales and now based in Dorset, Moira Hazel creates vibrant mixed media compositions inspired by nature’s textures. She explores layering playful marks and intense colours to capture the essence of a place or subject, rather than a literal depiction. She takes inspiration from the light and brightness of the Mediterranean, rich textures of the Australian outback, rhythm of fishing boats on the West Country shores, and the rolling hills and heathland of the Dorset countryside.
