Matthew Wood was born in 1973 and trained at The School of Art, University of Wales, graduating with an MA in Fine Art – Painting. He has since exhibited at Theatre Clwyd, John Moores 25, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool and Oriel Plas Glyn-y-Weddw. Matthews’ work covers varied subject matter but he is particularly drawn to interiors. Painting on found and fabricated sections of board, his paintings are completed in one sitting and from one site-specific location.
