Catherine Williams trained at UWE and completed a Fine Art degree in 1997 where she was awarded the Rebecca Smith Prize for Printmaking. Today, she is a professional artist working from her Bristol studio, using a variety of printmaking techniques including etching, aquatint and carborundum to create her distinctive artworks. She draws inspiration from her environment, the textural qualities of landscape, and her strong interest in architecture and form, using photography to document striking compositions which inform her printmaking process.
