Carol Nunan grew up in Africa before moving to Ireland as a teenager where she graduated from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin with a degree in Visual Communications. She began her career as a graphic designer for RTE (Irish broadcasting). She then worked as a design manager at Proctor and Gamble, and at numerous design studios and international advertising agencies across Ireland and South Africa. In 1998, she took her first printmaking workshop, which transformed the trajectory of her career. Today, she creates bold monotypes and collagraphs that capture the wild beauty of Scotland and Northumberland and is a co-founder of the Horsley Printmakers studios.
