  • Jim EdwardsJim's acute observational skills and unique use of perspective give his paintings a powerful solidarity, and unmistakeable style. His use of gradient light and rich, deep colour throw his buildings into striking relief making the viewer feel physical presence within the scene.

When working to commission, depending on the complexity of the scene the customer wants; Jim often creates black and white pen sketches of the composition of the piece before starting work on the final piece. Jim can be very flexible with regards to preferred coloured scenes and has previously even added boats into scenes featuring the River Tyne at bespoke customer's requests. • Lisa CorkenLisa's work stems from a simple love of manipulating hand made felt to create an image often describing the process as like ‘painting with hair'. She says ‘I often return to working with the nude because of the vast subtleties in the skin tones that hint at the underlying form beneath the structure of the figure'. Lisa also uses paint to portray the nude and there is a noticeable difference between her styles of work and application of media. Her work is not restricted to creating nudes and recently she has been developing felt using animals and landscapes as inspiration.

When working to commission, Lisa prefers to take her own reference photographs and work in her studio space to create the final piece for the customer. When creating a commissioned felt piece she often creates more than one piece so the customer can choose their preferred one. Please click here to view more examples of Lisa Corken's work.
  • Paul Swan TopenPaul is a highly skilled mixed media Artist and Designer with 20 years experience across the creative disciplines.

His favourite medium is metal, from wire mesh to bronze casting he has always had a fascination with the way it brings life to a piece without the need for an artists brush.

Paul's most recent creations are wall-based artworks based on the human finger print.

Paul loves the idea of letting nature put the finishing touch on his work. He is intrigued by the way metal catches the light, how it can be polished, left course or allowed to patina, creating the beautiful biological pallet that natural oxidisation produces. Every piece though finished by Paul is always changing, evolving through time.

Paul's work has been exhibited in galleries worldwide most recently in the Metropolitan Museum New York. In the U.K he has exhibited in many prominent venues including the Tate Modern, the V&A and the Millennium Dome.

To commission your own finger or thumb print or that of a loved one, Paul has supplied the Gallery with special inking cards that can then be sent out to customers to obtain unique prints which are then forwarded onto the artist. The prints can be produced in Bronze, Copper or Stainless Steel. Please click here to view more examples of Paul Swan Topen's work.
