Hannah NunnInspired by the simplicity of plant forms and flowers Hannah Nunn makes botanical studies by drawing with light and shadow. By cutting, engraving and layering paper she creates delicate designs which are brought to life when illuminated.
Maria WojdatUsing outsize pestles and mortars Maria explores how the pounding and grinding action reacts with the qualities of solid wet clay to create an organic and geometric form, allowing the material to find its own shape.
Pierre WilliamsPierre is interested in how the human body interacts with everyday activities; he also taps into the blue and white tin glaze tradition of earthenware ceramics, with his top firing temperature being 1120 degrees. He uses slips, oxides, under glazes, glazes, enamels and lusters to achieve the desired effect.
Annica Sandstrom & David KaplanThis thriving glass studio has an international reputation and is renowned for both beautifully-designed contemporary tableware and an ever-changing collection of individual vessels, plates and panels.
Mark DallyA bold, contemporary take on traditional Staffordshire slipware, other design influences include 1950’s surface pattern such as Ridgeway’s ‘Homemaker,’ and the motifs and calligraphic styles of pre-Hispanic Mexican and Australian Aboriginal art.
Stonesplitter PotteryStonesplitter Pottery offers professional, high quality Raku pottery. The word Raku is translated in the West as meaning 'pleasure, enjoyment, contentment and felicity’, all which best describes Ian Robert’s clocks.
Elaine PetoElaine’s animals are individually made by the process of slab building in clay, then gradually adding slab by slab to form the whole animal. The details are then remodelled until the animal is complete. It is then biscuit fired, glazed and re-fired to stoneware.
Gavin MarshallThe range of Gavin’s work extends from functional vessels to sculptural installations and work that is incorporated into interiors and architecture. Gavin’s “Bird Migration” in red and grey glass, in our Corner Gallery, is available for purchase or commissions.
Maria LintottMaria Lintott creates collections that use the expressive potential of tableware and with playful forms and texture she actively encourages interaction with her pieces. They are designed to bring a touch of beauty to our everyday lives.
Fiona MazzaFiona’s new work focuses on the colourful and vibrant world of butterflies. She creates an exciting development of colourful forms and the final firing allows the work to transform into delicate forms.
Graham MuirGraham Muir works alongside his medium rather than dominating it, leading him in his quest to create 'beautiful glass sculptures'.
Paul SmithThe main subjects of Paul Smith's hand-built one-offs are interpretations of European folk tales, such as Red Riding Hood and the wolf.
Steve YeatesSteve's sculptures, made from recycled glass, display an array of definitive states from tragic and haunting to ethereal and dynamic.
Anthony SternAnthony Stern's vessels evoke a variety of ideas from the functional and prosaic to the lyrical, healing and mystical.
Mark SmithMark uses a variety of decoration techniques as his ideas continue to flow and move on to create different avenues and new approaches. Ships, boats, and wrecks are the main fabric of the work, made from clay that has the textures of metal and wood objects salvaged, press moulded, and patched together to produce a variety of forms that look as though they have sailed the Seven Seas.
Emma StrangeEmma works with a mix of nichrome wire and clay to express a sense of movement and spontaneity, capturing the essence of a flower. Each flower is unique as she paints every flower by hand, using underglazes, clear and coloured earthenware glazes. The colours vary and Emma intentionally leaves the marks that are left by the paintbrush. Each flower can stand alone or can playfully dance in groups.
