The Artist: Alasdair Fowler

Alasdair Fowler is a local, Newcastle based photographer.  His work contains a huge variety of subject matter, from people and architecture to insects and fashion.  But it is landscapes, wildlife and the natural world in general that features most in his work.

Born in Sheffield in 1982, he soon moved to the North East of England.  At the age of 2 he moved to Norway.  It was during his upbringing here that he developed a passion for the natural world.

Throughout his life he has always been interested in art, but it wasn't until his 20s that he began taking photographs. This interest soon turned into the passion for taking great pictures that he has today.
