The Artist: Doug Hall
Doug Hall was born in Beadnell, Northumberland in 1956.
For over 25 years Doug has been one of the regions best known photojournalists working for local and national newspapers and magazines.
Tired of chasing celebrities and sitting in the rain on the pitch side at St James Park he is now building a strong reputation as a landscape photographer making images of his home county and the Newcastle cityscape.
‘I started taking landscapes mainly because of the absence of people and egos to pamper. You can go to the same location many times and the changes in seasons, weather and light will always give you a new challenge.’ Doug Hall
